Huntsman-Devil Concept

This was something I did in one day, which was a nice change after spending two weeks on the Brauheist/Invasives poster. Concidering how fast I did this I don't think you can tell that I spent any less time on this then any other piece I have done. This is a character concept I did for a project that I'm working on with a few other people. I will have more details, and new concept drawings soon.

Invasives/Brauheist Gig Poster

This coming Friday Brauheist and Invasives are playing a show at the Railway Club. If you want to see two amazing bands from Vancouver then this is the show to be at. If you doubt me you can check out there music here:

This is the first show in Vancouver the Invasives have played since releasing their new album Desk Job at Castle Dracula.

Invasion of the Corporate Scum

I've been working on this one for a while...I don't think I've ever spent so much time on one image. Once again I went overboard on the detail but it always seems to be that way with my work. I included a detail version of each head so you can see the work that went into each little piece of this poster.

Grizzly Bear vs. Shanghai

This is a piece that I just submitted for a zine called Bearfight, which is a collection of artists works featuring Bears fighting whatever. I chose to go colossal and did my best to channel some oldschool Godzilla destruction and have a Grizzly Bear tearing apart Shanghai. The Grizzly was hand drawn and then rendered on Photoshop, while the alien that is controlling the bear (why else would it want to rampage thru China?) was drawn using photoshop exclusively. The background was arranged from photos and then drawn on top of. I wasn't sure how it would come together using different techniques on the different parts but I think it all comes together quite well. I will post again once I have information about when Bearfight is available for sale.

Villain Party

This is a poster that I did for a birthday party last night. It was a themed party. I did it using Promarkers and a bit of pen. It took about 3-4 hours from start to finish and it full poster size.

Skull and Crossbones

This is a collaboration between me and Glen Craig. I took an old sketch of his and inked it. We have known each other and been drawing together for nearly twenty years throughout a few different levels of schooling (that sounds so strange) but we have never worked together on anything. Glen has worked as a tattoo artist in Maple Ridge for nearly a decade now and is currently on the road covering Australia in awesome work. You can see some of his work here:

Old Ink Paintings

Both these pictures are painted with just indian ink and water on watercolour paper. The Gargoyle Bird is the oldest piece I will put up on this site, I finished it in grade 12 and it is the only piece from high school that I am still really proud of and that holds up among my current work. The other piece is about three years old and inspired by the HBO show Carnivale. Just a midget looking for his place in the world.

The Orphan and the Sea

Here is something new and very different for me. Inspired by Daniel Danger's work, my favorite concert poster artist. His work is completely different then anyone else going stylistically and conceptually. You can check out his posters and working precess at:

This one took quite a while, I spent more time erasing and redrawing then doing the drawing itself. I really like the patterns and different line work that I used on the different parts of the body and that everything still comes together and works as a whole. The colour works well I think and I really like the highlights on the face from the lighter but I also included the black and white version just to show the line work. Thanks to my muse.
